Philippe Halsman is one of the most famous American portrait photographers. He developed a philosophy of 'jump photography' and took various photos of celebrities jumping. Halsman said, 'When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears.' I chose a bright color palette to convey a playful nature of the shots. The position of photos in the book as well as dynamic typography refer to jumping.
